On my 07 S80, I have about 4000 miles. Starting at 2500 miles, I got a "Schedule Maintenance" message. Then at 3000 miles, I got a "Maintenance Due" message. Now at 4000 miles, I have a "Maintenance Overdue" message.

I thought that the first maintenance was due at 7500 miles. Do I simply ignore this message until 7500 miles, or take it in for service?

 

The maintainance indicator set a reminder message every 750hr operation of the engine, or every 12 months or every 12,000KM (7500miles). Anycar do more oil change oftenis better than waiting until that indicator comes on... Under "ideal" conditions is when the maintainance indicator comes on (most driving conditions are consider severe). I would do an oil change between normal service... Note: from 2005 Volvo have used synthetic oil in their engine from the factory.. It's recommended to use synthetic oil.
