I have having a weird sound coming from my front right wheel location that I cannot diagnose and wanted to post here to see if there is a possible common issue in the community. After my car has been off awhile and I get in to start it, I can hear a loud almost grinding sound coming from my front right wheel, even in idle. It remains on as I put the car in reverse and back out of my garage until I put the car in gear. Once I do that, it stops and remains gone as I accelerate. However, when I come up to the first stop sign and coast into it, the sound seems to make an even worst grinding sound as the car comes to the stop. Gone again when I accelerate and so forth. This seems to happen for about 5 minutes and then it's fine.

I used to have an S40 (hence my avatar), so I was thinking it was the strut mounts. But those have been replaced and are not the issue. I believe it has to be something in my engine or transmission... possibly causing a lot of vibration during idle times. Any ideas?
