Howdy,

I just picked up a 08 s80 3.2. Not a fan of the wheels. I came across a set of Ford focus st wheels that I like. Here are the stats. Will the Ford wheels fit? Has anyone done this yet? It's a 2.5 hour drive so I'm trying to be sure they fit before I go get them.

There is a slight chance of an issue due to the different offset, depending on what tires you're running, and a chance of rubbing when steering is at full lock (turned all the way) one direction or the other. On the standard (not variable - no 4C) rack there are stops you can snap in, under the rack boots (the OE rack is Visteon and was installed with different tie rods on some Ford Mustang and other cars) to reduce the steering angle and stop the rubbing if needed. If you're not tearing into it yourself, a mechanic with some awareness of the rack (not a fitter) can fix that without much fuss, or you can yourself if you want to slip the rack boots a bit and resecure them.

 

I'm going to be replacing the tires on the 18-in rims because they are not in the best shape. I'll make sure I get a low enough profile so I don't have issues there. He is going to let me put the wheels and tires on my car to make sure they fit first so I will put on the fronts and see how the steering does. Thank you for replying.

 

A good resource is wheel-size.com - It shows the 8Jx18 55 ET as a factory size option for 245/40-18 tires for the 2008 S80.

Got the wheels and cleaned them up. Quick swap with no rubbing, perfect fit. Now I just need to get new tires
