2010 S 80 t6 AWD
Hello All-
First and foremost- Thanks to all members, contributors and admins- I am amazed by the wealth of information available in these forums- searching through for the right seems to be a little complicated and I am struggling. I thought I'd post up my requests and see if someone can chime in with an answer or point me to a section/link on the forum where these topics may have been addressed.
I have a high Mileage -(166,111 miles) 2010 S80 T6 AWD base model with a check engine light on- here are the codes

Status: Pending, Confirmed, Test failed since last DTC clear, Test not completed during this operation cycle
Any insight and troubleshooting tips? I am mechanically able but don't have any special tools that Volvo might need-
Questions:
1.Is it common for the o2 sensors to go bad at this age? Should I replace this first before looking at CAT replacement(Expensive) If so, any links to write up would be appreciated- car seems to run fine and no hesitation
We currently use 0W40 oil- Temps are around freezing with morning low temps around 15Degrees. Don't have any previous maintenance history
2. Is the Coolant blower motor same as the Radiator fan control? How can this issue be further diagnosed? Wait till the radiator gets unto temp and watch fan kick on?

Did you record the codes, erase them drive the car and see what comes back?
With that age/mileage I would expect the cat (efficiency) codes to come back. That is common and probably will not be fixed with O2 sensors! Usually that means its time for new cats.

I did erase the codes and they came back after a 20min drive-
Whats the "Engine coolant blower motor 1 - circuit malfunction issue"? Could this be an impending fault? I looked at the fans and they seem to initialize and run - don't know if the speed on those is variable? Both fans seems to be working- Will they set a different fault code when they have completely failed?
Can someone chime in with the 02 sensor voltage range so I can rule that out?
