acceleration...
I dont know if it has anything to do with the weather..90-95 degrees here, but the cars acceleration, especially with the A/C on, feels thick, and some what loose, kind of slipping and has a deeper growl to it....
Should a Check Engine Light come on or some other light, if there was something wrong, or is this something else? |
RE: acceleration...
It is probably due to the weather.
You have a T6 right? The intercooler is getting a lot more hot air then cold air or cooler air so it wil bog down. |
RE: acceleration...
Having the A/C on will slow down the car a good amount, that's normal though. The heat probably doesn't help.

RE: acceleration...
i find that my car is much faster during the night when its cool outside, on a hot day the car just feels clogged

RE: acceleration...
yah i have a t6 01, the fans keep commin on so much, they stay on even after the car has been shut off lol...
thanks for the replys guys! |
RE: acceleration...
Yeah the fan will stay on sometimes when it's hot. Also, it's good to keep the car running before you turn it off after you've driven it hard or long so that the turbos can cool down.

RE: acceleration...
ok now i notice that everytime that I shift, drive up hill from a slow start, and reverse I heara clicking noise that is only at the initial part of the acceleration, is there something broken?
Sounds like from the passenger side area.. |
RE: acceleration...
It may be your shift lock engaging. You will hear or feel an audible "click" when you get up to speed from a stop. I wouldn't worry about it as long as your car is shifting and operating normally otherwise. :D

RE: acceleration...
i thought that I was hearing that audible click, but I come to find out that it sounds like plastic cracking and its not just one time its multiple times in a succession, almost like the sound when you pull your e-brake up...
