Brake Lights will not turn off

Default Brake Lights will not turn off

2000 S80 Out the blue both rear brake lights stay on even when car is turned off.. the light in window turns off and works when brake pedal is pressed, but other two will not turn off only when fuse is pulled out? any kind of help?

did you ever come up with solution? Having sa.e problem with my 04

Here's a wiring diagram, (volvo combines s60 and s80 in this diagram) note the 3rd brake light get it's signal from the CEM, and for a S60 the outer brake lights go through a shunt but for a S80 they are powered directly from the REM, and have electronics inside the tail lamps, must be leds in S80's (The diode and transistor symbols in the S80 tail lamps.)
