Default The brake sensor is killing me

My S80T brake sensor will not release my gear out of park under the following: when the temperature is under 75 degrees and now (in Texas) over 95 degrees. My volvo mechanic cannot figure it out. he replaced the sensor, no results, he replaced the parts in in console/gear box, no results. I asked him to disconnect it and he cannot by law. any ideas?

Are you saying that your car will not shift out of park unless you press the shift lock button?

the 2002 S80 does not have a release button. If I pump the brake and push it all the way to floor board it finally releases the gear shift.
