No, you have no following. It is fun to watch you throw parts at a problem above your comprehension and call yourself a mechanic though.

I am not sure if I can get a good recording of the noise since its kind of mute, but you can definally tell when the a/c is on - there is a metallic noise like a chain is dragging behind the car for a second or two upon acceleration.
I am taking it in Friday. No rust or any dust around the a/c unit. |
Could also be the power steering pump. There was a bulletin about material coming apart in the lines, causing damage to the pump and the filter in the reservoir to clog. The fix is to flush the system and then replace the reservoir and the pump. However, this noise is usually made at all times, but does get louder with the A/C on.

I read somewhere it could be low on freon - but its super coldcoming out.
Only when the a/c is on is there a noise - I found this too: THERMAL EXPANSION VALVE SC 253 |
There's a recall for a TXV adjustment for noise, but I doubt that's it. What's the VIN? I'll check for open recalls

I chcked for open recalls with the Volvo app on my phone- and there are none-
The weird thing is that it started, or at least I noticed it, after my alternator was replaced. This is a 2009 with less than 57K miles, a new alt. and a new a/c compressor? |
Hole in condenser - low on freon -
Is the reason - |
