Catalytic Converter Help
When I bought this S80, I knew the catalytic converter was bad. I didn't know it was terminal. After about 4000 miles, the car just died. After some troubleshooting I determined that the cat is plugged. It will run for a little bit with little to no power. You can hear particles of the catalytic dancing in the exhuast. The scanner is showing serious lean condition to the point of stalling if you run it too long.
I'm going to have the exhaust system pulled soon to get all of the cat pieces out. That will get me up and running, but I will still need to BUY the catalytic converter(s).
The confusion comes with the setup I may have. When you search for S80 catalytic, you mostly get Turbo results. Mine is NA 2.9. I am in California, but not sure if I have a California spec car.
From what I can see at the bottom there is a 3rd rear cat that splits into 2 pipes leading up. I believe there are 2 cats IN the twin manifolds up top. If anyone has some good pictures of their system off the car that would help me clear this up.

I haven't had it in the shop yet, but I have looked at the layout. It does appear that there are 2 manifold/cat assemblies with 4 bolt flanges. This goes into a Y pipe with 2 flexible sections. After this, the downstream oxygen sensors are in individual pipes. Then they join and at the end there is a 3rd catalytic.
4 oxygen sensors! Yikes
