The input speed sensor measures the rpm of the torque convertor (I believe) and sends the information to the ECU. Check the circuit and replace the sensor if it is bad. I am not sure where it is located on the S80, but I don't think it is an expensive fix.

If the Sensor is Bad will this damage my transmision is this that can wait I Just put new timin belt, tensioner, water pump, engine belt, and a lot more, the input sensor cost $125.00 but can this wait or it has to be done right away the car still @ the mechanic. But they finish the car on thursday and I'm planing on using it but I don't if use it if the sensor is bad ?????????????????????????

If it is there now, I would get it done. The information gathered from the speed sensor helps the ECU control shift points, line pressure and lockup for the torque convertor. It will affect performance and could cause damage in the long term.
