Default coil wire wrapping brittle

This weekend I changed the spark plugs on my 2000 S80 2.9 and the looming around the wires connecting to the coils was so brittle, it would just break when touched.

Should I replace the looming or is it ok to have the wires exposed without it?

Also, I think the upper motor mount is bad. When I grabbed the bar going across the engine bay, which the motor mount is connected to, I could twist it easily. My son was also complaining that the car would shake when accelerating.

Is it supposed to twist easily?

Thanks for your advice.

Same thing happened to me on the 2000... head down to the auto parts store or home depot, etc, and buy some flex loom and redo it. Easy as pie... I just unwrapped the tape, pulled off all the old and redid the new, just in time for my wife to total the vehicle.

On the mount, I used one from IPD, recommend replacement if the current one is shot... twisting some is normal but you shouldn't have excessive play in it.

Ok I ordered a new upper mount and will install this weekend and while I'm in there I'll rewrap the wires.
