Default Does the 2004 S80 T6 have a transmission drain plug?

I was going to have my mechanic do a full fluid change, filter and gasket but he's way to busy.

I also noticed for some strange reason? my dipstick is showing my fluid being 2" over the cold mark!!!! Which can't be good. I think another garage added fluid to the car as they said they felt it slip?

I only have access to car jacks and wanted to at least drain the 2 inches off the stick but if there is a plug drain as much as I can and add new. Then drain more tomorrow and add more new.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this? Being the aggressive DIY'er, I like to do things myself if I can save $$$ and such.

Thanks

I am no expert but I "think" That car has lifetime transmission fluid in it. Thats why it does not have a drain plug. Allot of people dont believe the trans fluid should be changed. If you want to change it you will have to remove the pan. I dont know if I would though

Ah you were right. I ramped the car and climbed under sure enough just bolts on the tran's pan.

I would drain it by removing the top of the cooler line but am afraid of damaging the clip and not being able to get it back in once done.

I have a feeling that my filter is shot as my fluid doesn't go up or down when hot or cold. The fluid should raise and drop if the car is cold or hot. Mine stays in the same spot no mater what!

I was able to siphon about a quart out of the car last night using tubing ran into the dipstick area but it's still above the full hot mark.

Hopefully my mechanic can get it in Monday to do the full service on it. The fluid is pretty brown but doesn't stink or anything it smells rather clean just not red anymore......

My fluid has a brown honey color aswell. I think that is normal on these cars. Cant speculate about your fluid level though.
