Default Does anyone know....

How much psi or turbo is in the s80 t6 2001? If i upgrade it to a more powerful one(turbo that is...something with higher psi), I am guessing that I will have to change the piping? If you have to changestuff, what will it that you will have to change?

The T6 motor sounds like an HPT engine to me. So I think like 10-15 PSI stock.

If you want to upgrade your turbos bigger. You will one want to upgrade your exhaust. 3" downpipe or downpipes to 3"catback system with free flowing muffler and hi-flow CAT.

You will also want an ECU remap and or reflash. SpeedTuning USA, Upsolute, RICA

You might want to up your injectors depending on what turbos you do put on there. I would also replace all vaccum lines with silicone versions, and any turbo hoses you got replace them with silicone versions as well.

Get a boost gauge if you don't have one already. Do any preventative maint. that you can to ensure that the car is running smoothly already.

hmm......

this probably runs around a total of 3500$? If i get the bigger turbo, is it neccessary to change the exhaust, down-pipe, catback system, and high flow exhaust? I looking around on the internet, this guy is closing his store down, and he is discounting what ever he has left in stock, 50% off, he has this turbo that says it will produce about 700 hp.... he's selling it for like 450 new in the box, retails for 800+....

Well what kind of turbo is it? Will it fit your application. And yes you should change the downpipe and exhaust with a bigger turbo. It will add more hp and torque and will help it breath better.

I think the S80 is considered a LPT. The turbo's are so small it is funny to look at them.

Yes but Volvo could have thought a little more and put bigger ones in there.
Yours are so small they can be used as Paper weights. LOL
