Evap Check Valve Question
Can anyone tell me what problems I might have if one of the check valves is not in place?
The reason I'm asking is one snapped and apparently you have to buy the whole hose assembly from Volvo to get the check valve($90) and I can't seem to find a generic one that will fit. The mechanic at Volvo told me I could just use a straight pipe til I find one and it shouldn't be a problem. He said the check valve was mainly there to keep vacuum at the brake booster once the car was shut off.

It shouldn't mess with the car much.
I used to have just the valve part number at work for just the valve but I am not there to see if I still have it.
Look up in Vadis for a 2000 S40 intake system I believe they use the same valve there try that.

Thanks for the heads up on the s40 part. Looks like 1275226, will order that and see what I end up with.
I replaced it with a tee for now and it seems to work fine so far.
Thanks again.
