Hey folks,
Got an '04 S80 whose driver's window likes to go down a quarter of the way and then the whole window drops forward into the door. Its then a pain to try and coax it back into a closed position.

I've heard it might be the regulator, but wanted confirmation.

If so, what parts would I need and how do I go about getting that blasted door apart?

Mine is doing something similar but on a much smaller scale.. It just rocks back and forward a bit while going down very slowly..
However, I can hear mine rattle while im playing my music loud.. Not normal behaviour

 

Mine 99 did the same thing about a week after I had bought it (used). As I recall it was the regulator.

 

I have an 02 plate and the window has gone three times. each time it was the regulator and does not seem to matter how much or little you use the window!

 

How much did it cost to repair or change the regulator?

 

And along with nicolaselias' question was it something you were able to do yourself??
