Default Getting DSTC service error at random on 2001 S80

Hello

I've got a strange problem with my S80. Sometimes it says DSTC service recommended or something in the display and the DSTC icon lights up. This happens completely at random when I'm driving and I get it with both very short intervals and sometimes very long, like weeks or months. The error goes away if I turn the engine off and on, but it sometimes come back after a little while and other times after weeks. Does anyone know whats wrong and if it's an issue I shold look into?
