Default help!!

So I get into my car (99 S80) this morning and start it up and it acts as if it can keep itself going. It sounds like its about to die but only has once. It pretty much just sputters around 500rpm. When I drive it, it's fine...but when I idle it starts acting like its trying real hard to stay on. The past month or so whenever I started it I noticed that it would sputter some, almost like it was flooded but then it would just kick out of it and run fine...but not this time. Anyone know what this could be and if its expensive to get fixed? Thanks.

Have you had the Recall done on the throttle body yet? Software?

I had the software upgrade on the ETM done about 2-3 months ago because I was having idling issues. The upgrade took care of all the problems I was having...but I figured the software was just covering up the problem and not actually fixing it.

I took my car into the volvo dealer today and they told me there was a more recent upgrade for the ETM. They say it seems like its fixed the problem. I guess in a few more months when Im having more problems Ill have to take it back for another upgrade. Is there anyway I can just tell them to replace it?

tech, do volvo's use the protective film in the throttle bodies like ford's do. I don't remember what it's called, but it's like teflon to make junk not stick to it. Normal TB cleaners just eat at that stuff unless its compatible.
