I had to replace the vvt cam seal on my 99 s80 t6 and don't have the cam alignment tool. How can I reset the cam and know it's correct, without the tool? I noticed a mark on the end of the cam between the bolt holes. Should it be ligned up to the timing marks for the gear?

 

Nope there is a special way it needs to be done with the tool on the back of the cams.
