Default How do you remove the upper transmission cooler line for manual flush?

I know I posted a few posts pertaining to my tranny. I am actually going to do the manual flush this weekend and tonight was looking at the tranny input to the cooler. It looks like it just clips in via a green squeezable clip? Is that correct? I don't want to break anything, do you just squeeze this and pull it out or is there another method? I don't want to create any leaks or anything.

My mechanic is dragging his feet getting me the filter and gasket so I gave up. I'm just going to do the manual flush as Tech suggested.

Any links to pics on how to do this? I remember reading someone posted to do a search on "how to change my transmission fluid" but I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks guys!

You are correct about squeezing the click then pull it out. its that simple. BUT I had to remove the lower line to do the flush as the top line will create a mess as the fuild will come out from the top of the cooler. Look at ipdusa.com for a pdf file on the procedure as well.

The upper works on my 2002 T6. Some place there is a description of the year when they flipped the flow. The IPD instructions with their kit are the opposite of how my 02 flows. Call them I bet they can answer which one works on an 04.
