Default How to shim ac clutch

I have been told my ac clutch needs to be shimed is there any drawings etc to do this thx

I was able to find a really small puller I use at work to do the job.
Sorry I cannot remember if you have a Non-turbo if you do then you might be able to do it without removing the compressor from the car and opening the lines.

Your welcome if you pull the cooling fan out then unbolt the compressor you should be able to slide it back far enough to reshim it.

My ac works fine for a while then blows hot air turn the unit off for about 2 minutes turn back on and it will blow cold again My mechanic took a long bar while unit running and blowing hot pushed the clutch in and the unit started blowing cold

What would be the outcome if I use the bread clips and got the clutch a little to close?

I would always run and never shut off. IMO not the way to do it.

Shimmed my clutch today with the plastic bread seals Working great. Nice to not have to turn unit on and off to keep cool and o yes very chep to fix this way

Can anyone post step by step how to shim the A/C clutch please. If it includes pics even Better. I have a 2000 S80 non-turbo.
