Hi. I ordered a trailer hitch for my 2008 S80. A buddy and I tried to install it but ran into some issues. It appears the whole rear bumper needs to come off in order to pull the bolts through the frame rail and out the hole in the side of the frame rail. Anybody know if this is true? Is it difficult to take off the rear bumper?

 

Reviving this old post as I have a 2008 S80 as well and I am planning on installing a trailer hitch soon.

OP- did you end up installing that hitch? If yes, how hard was it? Do you remember what make the hitch was? Perhaps Curt?

Anybody else has and can recommend a good trailer hitch for my 2008 S80?
Just for reference the hitch would be used mostly for towing my motorcycles around, I don't have a trailer yet but no matter what trailer I end up buying it will weigh 1000 lb max plus another 400 lb for the motorcycle itself.
