I don't normally do much of the work on my car for myself but I wanted to begin with some basics.. Considering that Jacking the car correctly is absolutely essential, I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing before I did.

Using a standard rolling floor jack, where would I want to jack the car from (front) and where will I want to put the jack stands. Any tips to make it easier/safer?

I understand that the car weighs about 3700lbs, so I am assuming a 2ton jack will be fine, but I wanted to double check that with you all.

I jack at the factory jacking point, and put jackstands at the front and rear subframe mounts.
