You need to have all the codes for all systems cleared.
Either Dealer or Volvo indipendant shop that has the proper tools.

Your welcome even though I wasn't all that much help.

I kind of just cost you more money. But thats what has to be done.

Check engine light came on had it rechecked came out P1633 also sometime going down the road I can hear a slight whirring noise like maybe the abs pump may becoming on Am not much of a mech but if I have lights reset do you think it will cure problems? They want 78.00 to reset lights

The noise you have could be the tires or a wheel bearing.

P1633 should be a low battery voltage code.

Having all the codes cleared should take care of all the lights.
I think the noise is something different.

Have the codes cleared and see if that fixes it.
Or there is something wrong with the rebuilt ABS module.

Yup, $78 is what they want for hooking up and clear or update ECM (without warranty).

When I brought my car in for diagnose, got a MAF, they quoted me $350 to replace. I said, I'll do it myself, then the rep told me, even if I replace it myself, I will have to come back for a $78 ECM reset due to new MAF. So I figured it wasn't worth doing it myself. So $200 for diagnose + $350 for MAF = $550. And I thought I was going to get the ETM replaced due to surging.

went to Volvo dealer he said ABS box was no good and needed brake booster also cost of 2,000.00 Went to Richards Import Store in Gainesville Fl Told him the whole story He goes out pulls the air box out, the abs box was not proberly reinstalled There are two long pins on each side that have to be pulled out and reinserted to hold wiring harness in place. No lights except check engine Got his lap top out and reset check engine He refitted a boot or someing over brake booster, brake booster fine Now the best part said I did not owe him anything If anybody in North Florida needs Volvo work call them Nice family owned honest operated company. He worked for Volvo for 20 years and is ASE certified Saved me a bunch of money No one will ever touch my car again but Richards
