Angry Leaking Valves

My 2016 S80 started consuming oil approx 20,000 miles ago. I'm at 141,000. With engine design NOT using a dipstick any longer, you can't check the oil manually. The oil level indicator didn't didn't work until approximately one cup was left in the engine. It is should work when it is one quart low. I replaced the indicator and it still doesn't work when low. The mechanic measured the oil and it had lost 3 quarts with no lights coming on. I wrote a note to the NTSB since this is a safety issue. 2 weeks ago I got a letter from Volvo stating theyt would cover the replacement cost of leaking valves if done at the dealer. (This was for cars between 2013 and 2016) The catch is it is limited to cars with less than 100,000 miles. Again, I'm at 141,000. I buy Volvos since they can be trouble free high mileage cars. With a $6500 repair on my hands thats far from being trouble free.

Has anyone been able to get Volvo to cover the cost if they are over 100k miles?
