Looking at buying..
Hey guys, bear with me cause I have a couple questions that I hope you can help me with. I'm looking at buying a 04 s80 with 66,000 miles. The asking price is okay, but I'm worried about potential repairs. The history report says that less than 5,000 miles ago, the timing belt, fuel pump, power steering pump and engine mounts were changed. My questions are, should I be worried about anything else that may need to be fixed within the next 25,000? Should I be worried about something expensive like the transmission? Over the past few years I've gotten the short end of the stick when buying cars and I don't want to make another mistake. Does this car sound like a good choice? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Well, a 10 year old car is a risk, however, with those low miles and the service history, you are probably as safe as you can be. Have the car checked out somewhere else and if things look good, go for it.
