Hello im in need of a good mechanic who knows the in and outs of volvo in or around the Jackson Kalifornia area (yes i know i spelled california with a K but thats where this state is today : ( . ) thanks very much.

 

Depends on what your problems are. Being in Nor Cal myself. With limited options. Investing in jacks, a metric tool set and watching many you-tube videos and reading mostly this site but a few similar ones has been my saving grace. When you are out in "gold country" your options are limited.

 

I'm in Pine Grove (10 miles East of Jackson) and I haven't found one yet. Whatever you do, don't take it Hahn's Automotive. We had our S80 serviced there before we know that they didn't have any factory certified Volvo mechanics and they took forever to get the work done on it. I've opted to just do my own work now. Jeff Holman Auto might be an option. I know they've done work on my Excursion and T100 and I've been happy with their work. Not sure if they service Volvos though.

 

I helped a lady from california regarding service questions on her S80. She went to Mas Auto Repair San Mateo.But not sure how far its from your place. She did said that they specialized in german cars and volvo and saabs too and after doing a major work on her S80 she was very happy with it.
