99 S80 2.9 174k miles and counting

I got the low coolent message on my car. I checked the coolant and It is low. Do I have to use volvo coolant only or can I use any coolant brand . My owners manual says that you should not mix the volvo coolant with other brands.

 

You can use a Generic Green coolant.

i had nissan long life coolant left over from my last car and used that with great success, its dark green, that coolant last up to 5 years / 100.000 km, its one of the best coolants i think
