Low oil pressure issue. Looking for the right oil pressure guage.
Hi Everyone,
This is the first thread I have posted on here. My 2004 s80 2.5t has the infamous "low oil pressure light issue." I had the oil pan cleaned out and the o-rings re-done (there was a fair amount of sludge in there according to the mechanic that did the job.) I have been reading other threads on this issue for ideas on how to troubleshoot it.
As a next step, I would like to replace the oil pressure sender/check the oil pressure with a manual gauge.
My question is, what kind of gauge exactly do i need? I'm not sure what size/threads the fitting on the end needs to be.
Thanks for your help.

that light is usually cause by a collapsed oil filter.
A rarity is the whole o-ring thing that everyone seems to be the issue every time. (never quite found the reasoning behind that belief)
another rarity is the screen getting plugged up.
all you need to do is hook a manual shop gauge up to a oil pressure port and get a exact reading that way.
best way is to find someone with a computer tool and watch the value of the oil pressure switch. The one I have will actually tell you the pressure down to the hundredth.
