lower brake pedal after replacing front brakes

Sooo....
i just replaced my front brakes on my S80 with cross-drilled rotors and Hawk performance pads, but after breaking in the brakes the pedal seemed to be lower than it was before i replaced the brakes.

talking with my friends i concluded i might have gotten air in the brake line, so i had it flushed and replaced with some new DOT 4- but it's not much better.
Any thoughts?

Are you sure you put the springs back on correctly?

If your brakes feel spongee..then you probably still have Air in the lines...

i had the brake fluid flushed, so i don't think there is still air in the lines is the problem. thats why i had the fluid flushed in the first place. :-/

the kicker here is,when i initially hit the brakes, the pedal seems to need to travel farther to start bringing the brakes on. but if i have my foot on the brakes, then lift just a little then step down harder again- the brakes grab like they used to with the power that it used to, and it stops like the volvo it is.... which has me really baffled.

Note:--- now when i say "lower" or "farther" i'm talking maybe a centimeter farther than normal, i remember when the car was new, and even right before the brakes needed to be changed, but it's not like the pedal goes to the floor before the brakes come on, it just seems to not grab as hard initially.

sorry- i forgot to mention anything about this one, but i even checked that when i had them bleed the brakes, and everything seemed fine, and looked like it was right where it was supposed to be.

Take the car out and safely activate the brakes hard enough to activate the ABS and see if it gets batter after that.
