Default Are my airbags still good after 10 years?

New Question: My S 80, purchased in 2000 with 130,000 miles is well over ten years old. In good condition. Never in any accident. Air bags never activated. Are the air bag systems still operational and reliable after 10 years? Thanks for any information. J Adler

They should be. If your airbags go bad, they should throw a error in the dash. Volvo recommends that you have the system checked out every 10 years just to be on the safe side.

If you wear your safety belts you may not really need your air bags. I have heard wonderful stories about the side impact bags.
