Hello everyone! I hope this site will be a great resourse for me as I go forward w/ the S80. I just traded in my 06 Dodge Charger SRT8 and needed something that was a better fit for my family's lifestyle.

I have a 2010 S80, Ice White/Sandstone, Multimedia, Climate, Sunroof, Backup Camera, PCC, BLIS, and the 18' Diamond Cut Fortuna Wheels. I pick it up tomorrow in Dallas. So excited!!!

Anyone have any initial advice such as things to check out with the car before accepting delivery, any popular mods, or just things I should be thinking about???

niether... Big drop in power for me, but like I said, this move was about a lifestyle change. I'm a driving enthusiast, but I got a deal on this car I couldn't pass up.

 

haha wow new S80 owner, tell me how it is! They're supposedly one of the best new cars you can get for the price and class. A way different car than 1999 lol

 

a few months ago I was at the dealer just to test drive a c30 for the fun of it, and the guy was trying to get me in an s80.. i think he was offering about 9,000 off list.. back in early June I think it was..

Congrats on the new Volvo! They really do mean it when they say Volvo for Life. Once you drive one, you are hooked for life! Excuse the pun!!! LOL

 

Welcome to the world of Volvo! Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of Mods out there for us s80 drivers compared to the smaller model Volvos :/.

Do post about your experience with this new S80. I'm considering buying a 2010 but waiting until 2011 -2012 when I have heard enough post's about the car. I own a 99 S80 2.9 & just love the handling & the fact that the car feels very stable on sharp turns and I have had no real problem except the ABS module,I have gone to Massachussetes & PA numerous times & the car has been gerat and it handles better than my previous GM cars that i've owned so I assume the handling must have improved even more by now.
