p1237 code "accelerator position sensor" HELP!
hey guys so heres my problem, i have a 99 s80 t6 with 144,000 miles. lately i have been having problems on cold start, the car will start up and idle really rough and sputter for a couple seconds then it catches itself and idles fine, but then when i go to drive off the car hesitates and has no idea how to accelerate it will bog then immediate accel randomly. so i went to have the car scanned and came up with a p1237 code and the description was accelerator position sensor. i had read somewhere that it can be caused by a faulty bcs sensor. i replaced that plus a bad oxygen sensor but the car is still having issues. i would really appreciate any help with this its driving me crazy i just need to know whats wrong and how to fix it!
check the idle air control..and clean that up. Search this forum or google how to clean. Its a simple DIY. and see if that helps. Also make sure the engine filter is clean too. Let us know how it goes
