Default Question about rear brake lights

I just recently purchased a 1999 S80. Im getting a "Bulb Position Failure" and a "Rear Fog Bulb Failure" message. Ive fixed the rear fog bulb but I dont have any clue on how to fix the Position Failure. Ive checked and changed all the bulbs in the rear. Checked fuses and relays but my brake lights dont light up when I push them.

Anyone hopefully shed some light for me???

Thanks in advance guys.

Default RE: Question about rear brake lights

One trick to these Volvo's Is to make sure all the bulbs are from the same company. You might have a bad brake light switch.Im not sure but the brake light switch might be adjustable.Try to find it in front the brake pedal and push down on the pedal and try to push the switch towards the brake pedal arm then release the pedal and it should self adjust.
