Thumbs up questions about my s80. please help

so i just got my 2000 s80 out of the shop. i got new control arms and ball joints and other expensive sweet stuff.. but that is not what i need help with.

im new to the volvo scene and would like some advice on popular mods to the s80 model. im used to driving a nissan maxima and i have quickly realized that the volvo is a major transition, but i am excited none the less.
i hate to admit but my maxima was pretty "riced" out and less than professionally done and i would hate to see that happen to my s80. i had an intake, loud exhaust and an hid kit among other things. i have noticed that finding parts for this car are a lot harder so if anyone has any suggestions about where to start as far as mods and things go that would be awesome! any feedback and advice is welcome!

hey i used to be on the dot org (if you own a maxima you have to know what that means) and since then have crashed my 4th gen and now im here

anyhow, the S80 has very limited mods and they are hard to get, depends where you are, if you are in the states then try FCPgroton.com,,, i think there is a link here somewhere, im not into mods so im not the best person for links and suggestions, im all about proper maintenance and efficiency!!!

is your 2000 a T6 twin turbo or the 2.9N/A ?

Hey xstuart,
Try this ....HALTECH PLATINUM SPORT 2000 ecu instead of the popular BSR PPC ecu...try mingling with the software first instead of the hardware. Alternatively you can logged on more info on their website www.haltech.com

Ok here's a crazy idea- don't do anything to it! You'll be paying more than enough just in regular maint. anyhow.

Not trying to be a smart *** but these cars dont have a large aftermarket following, and bolting on some Pep Boys stuff is just going to make people laugh at you.

@oneslow
i hear ya maint. is really expensive but at the same time, since i used to own a maxima its really hard not to attempt to mod this thing out. but i guess ill have to get used to it. there are not parts for the s80. i guess ill just have to learn hahaha. ill just get rims, tint, and a sound system, and hid's and call it even.

when you do your stereo your check engine light will come on telling you that you have no stereo connected (the car computer wont recognize it) requiring you to go to the dealer and pay about 100-150 to pay them to delete the OEM stereo from the computer system

pretty stupid stuff if you ask me...but thats how these cars are. if i was you i would really look into doing all the maintenance first these cars are a biatch if you dont keep up with them.

About the mods lol i duno if thee are any,. i think ive seen someone selling some kind of hids they made themselves, and another guy made his own intake, there is this one sweet aero skirt/lip kit out there, not sure who makes it, but thats the best more out there i think, it really makes the car look "newer" im gona try to find it

but from what you said: tint, rims, sound systems and thats it, these cars dont need anything else

this is the kit i think:
