replacing power window motor... how to remove it
does anyone know how to remove these things properly
Also, is this something that I can attempt myself, the cable snapped or disconnected and doesn't control the window what so ever any more.
thanks for any help

The rivets to which you are pointing get drilled out. Be absolutely sure not to use too large of a bit as it will make squeeking noise after you're done. Apply some tape to the backside of the rivet to catch any debris. Then using a small bit, drill out the center of the rivets.
You will need a rivet gun to reattach the bracket, available at most tool stores ~$15.

Hi, hope you are still member of this forum.
I had to get the rear door window replaced in my car, however, only noticed some 8 weeks later that they didn't replace the door panel properly. Actually they broke off the black 'legs' that are meant to be glued to the inside of the panel and hook into the little white plastic clips that are protruding from the metal frame.
So thinking that I'll glue these back and re-attach the panel, I took it off, glued everything back on in the original position (you can see how the clips are supposed to be positioned, as there is some marking for that on the panel).
However, now comes the problem: how do I re-attach the panel to the door, so that the each of the 3 black 'legs' are hooked into the white clips AND the door **** is fed through its rightful hole at the top of the panel??
Do I need to remove the white clips first, buy new ones and push the panel back in place that way??
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Filip

RE: replacing power window motor... how to remove it
Hi
I was talking about the clips thatpush into the metal frame at the end of those largish black stands that hold the panel fixed. Turns out they just twist out ... when one uses the right tools :-)
I actually solved the problem, went back to the windscreen place, explained their stuff up and asked them to at least remove the clips since they must have the tool.... they've done it it 2 minutes, but by doing the glueing myself, at least I didn't need to book the car in and leave it there, so I am pretty happy.
Thanks for your prompt reply, no doubt I'll be back asking some more crazy questions, since I have no intention of selling my aging 'Lady' :-)
Regards
