S80 2007 automatic transmission oil stick

assume you have the Aisin TF-80SC six speed auto? this uses a two piece drain plug to set the transmission fluid level so you won't find a dipstick. The process for setting the fluid level involves filling the transmission via the side port plug, then removing the center of the drain plug (which leaves the overflow tube in place). the fluid drains to the correct level based on the height of the overflow tube. When doing a drain/fill service, you'd remove the overflow tube (the outer part of the drain plug). Note the proper process requires use of VIDA DICE to measure transmission temperature - as the fluid level is set when the fluid is 55C (about 130F)

Did you get any diagnostic codes or flashing lights ie TRACs or ABS etc? Has the car been scanned for fault codes? Did you try rowing the shifter (park to lo to park 20x fast) to see if that would engage? Does the dash indicator show the transmission as being in D? Problem could be electrical (ie shifter, brake position sensor, TCU connections, transmission/solenoid connections etc) or it could be internal (total fail on a clutch pack, major loss of fluid etc). Any mechanical noises when you try to go (ie to suggest a failed drive axle?)
