Default slamming togetherBrake Noise?

2000 s80 T6, after driving around the city for a long while I get this clack sound everytime I step on the brake, like 2 peaces of medal slamming together, sounds like it's in the rear. Any advice?

Even on smooth road?

If you haven't add the o-rings on the {front engine rear subframe} of this car. Highly recommended.

I test my rear noise by first removing all objects in the trunk, including spare and so on... easier to isolate the noise.

I should explain; mainly at stop and go in traffic speed or trying to get into a parking space, each time I apply the brake it'sike a loud metal tap noise, I don't hear it for instance coming off the highway when brake is applied at high speed. It's almonst like something is loose and when brake is applied it takes up the slack.

That's why it's important to isolate where the sound come from. It could be your battery in the trunk get toss around. It could be the car jack get toss around. Empty the trunk and see what happpened. At least you can say for sure that it's not coming from the trunk or loose item. Then you can inspect your suspension parts. That's exactly what I did on my car. It's just part of troubleshooting procedure. Just so you don't go changing parts that aren't part of the problems. And how many times we hear people got something done at the dealer but didn't fix the problems? ... too many times.. because why? Lackingbasic troubleshooting skills (notall, but some) Anyway, good luck. I have a rear suspension noice problem myself. I'm going to inspect all the rear links this weekend. Just be sure to report back if you ever find out. It's how we save each other a few bucks.
