Default SPEED SENSOR 99 S80 T6

TCM 001F Vehicle Speed Sensor
530D
P0722 Speed Sensor
P1618 Unknown
P1633 Unknown
ECM-3502 Misfire
ECM-3542
ECM-510F Vechicle Speed Signal Fault

What do all these codes mean? What are some signs of a bad speed sensor? Is it easy to replace?

Why would you say the ABS MODULE? Or is it just my luck that my ABS Module that was tested, repaired, and then tested again by BBA REMAN just so happens to get damaged while it was sent to me via UPS.
What are the symptoms of a faulty SPEED SENSOR?

Those codes are tied to the ABS system.
The speedometer uses the ABS module to make the speedo read vehicle speed.

I just got the ABS Module back today from BBA REMAN and they found no fault on my MODULE. I installed the ABS MODULE back on my car and drove it for about 10miles. All the messages are still there: BRAKE FAILURE STOP ASAP.....etc. Now. This ABS MODULE has been tested by Victor once and found no fault. Tested by BBA REMAN and found fault repaired it and then tested. I return it back to them and tested again no fault. So I'm back to the same problem. Do I have to go to the dealer and get these messages reset. I thought after the ABS MODULE would be repaired they would go away. Can a faulty SPEED SENOR cause these ABS messages and the could be the cause of the TRANSMISSION SER REQ message and a misfire?

Every code but the misfire.
Do you have any Volvo repair shops near you besides the Dealer?

Not all codes are cleared when it gets rebuilt.

If you have the proper setupthey should be able to be cleared.
I would try to have them cleared and see what happens from there.

Did you see in the other post that I had the ABS module screws and battery screw only?

So I'm at European Autoworks in Vista, CA.... they found that the BRAKE FAILURE STOP SAFELY ASAP message and the other lights could not be reset or erasedue to NO COMMUNICATION WITH ABS. I should have gone to the dealership instead.

I believe the blue connector does since it has these two black sliding things that lock it in place....the pump connector doesn't sit all the way down.

But the pump motor plug itself won't make it loose communication.

Well, they charged me 45.00 for that. Plus I got a oil change Valvoline 10-30 f/ 19.18; washer DP 850 1.00; Filter 9.28; cabin filter 25.95 .... total was 119.48
Tomorrow I might just go to a dealer and see what they can do as far as clearing the messages and lights. I called a Volvo dealership in Irvine, CAand they said they would charge me 128.00 which is a diagnostic cost. They said in order to clear messages and codes they have to set it up like a diagnostic.

I've been thinking I had my brake rotors and pads replaced by the mechanic that doesn't work on Volvo's. When rotorsand pads are replaced can there be something done or a step that was skipped that could have created a problem with the ABS system?
