Default transmission

Thanks guys for helping me with this. I have a 2000 S80, I'm getting a text message that reads "transmission service urgent". But, I've had the transmission serviced. When you start out driving the car shifts gears just fine. After about 5-6 miles there will be a slight strain in gear shift. All I have to do is turn the car off and restart it immediately and the gears will shift fine. Then I'll drive another 5-6 miles and it repeats with a slight strain. Again, all I have to do is turn the car off and restart again and the gears change just fine. The car never cools down between restarts, I start it again immediately. So I'm confused as to why the gears change perfectly from simply turning of the car and restarting. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. You guys are wonderfu. Thanks.

Default RE: transmission

You need to have the codes pulled from the TCM.
