Hi I'm new to this forum but I have an urgent question I was hoping some of you guys could answer. Recently, I had the valves and heads replaced (i dont know if this matters at all) but now I am noticing that every so often ill be driving and when the trans goes to shift into 3rd gear it misses gear, revs up as if i were in nuetral with no rev limiter, and if i were to hold it there it would eventually drop into gear. Now I know this is most likely trans related, but does anyone know exactly what it the problem is? does the whole trans need to be replaced? and has anyone else had similar problems? And so everyone knows, its a 2000 S80 T6. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

I assume you checked and topped the fluid if it was low.

There might be a software upgrade from the Dealer that will fix that. But it will cost some $$$ to get it done.
