Volvo S80 trunk release wiring, is beyond repair, I have removed the connector end at the trunk, now trying to access the connection under the parcel shelf. I am having difficulty reaching the connection from below, and having difficulty removing the package shelf (area behind the seat). Does the shelf area need to be removed? Or am I missing an easier way.

 

Solved the issue. The shelf does not need removed the connector is accessible from the trunk. Simple push connector, My buddy with smaller hands had it removed in 30 seconds.
