Is there any way to just turn the check engine light off for a 2000 s80 t6? I have someone who will pass the car for inspection if I can just get the light off. The battery was disconnected for a week and the light was there when I hooked it back up so that old trick failed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

 

Uhh from what i have heard this is no way to. But could try clearing the code with a code reader right before the smog, like in the parking lot, then try. Or my trick, take it to any performance shop and ask who they have pass smoging. Or become friends with the Dealer guys. What my friends who are catless do.

 

Yeah, a handheld code reader will clear it. Depending on what the code is will determine how soon it comes back on.

 

Yeah, fix the problem throwing the code.
