Default Well I knew this was going to happen.

So Thursday I was cruising onto the highway and whatya know, it shifts into 3rd but when It did, it felt like the bottom fell out of the gear. Right after that shift I was stuck in 3rd Gear with the Transmission Service Urgent Message and the Check Engine light on. Drove it home at 55 in 3rd Gear. Shut the car off, turned it back on, and the errors were still therebut the gearswere shiftingok. Havnt gotten a chance to look at the codes...

Had a Transmission Flush about3 months ago....

usually does that combo of error mean a Transmission replacement? (or Solenoid issue)...

It could be from an ABS code or something simple like that.

So, Im hearing the Clanking noise from the passenger side(inside the car), as well as when I stand near the left side of the engine when ur standing infront of the hood I hear a strong whistling sound. Oh and I was reving my car in park today, a couple times it sounded like it crushed a soda can type noise.

well got my s80 back today. This was the code in the Transmission: "TCM 002A Gear 3 Incorrect Gear Ratio". Lol the warranty specialist from the company came and drove the vehicle, and deemed the transmission replacement as unnessary at this time. I think the Volvo Mechanics would know more than him to claim that?

That ticking noise acording to them was the Temp sensor, Cabin Temp Sensor, and Recirculator.

Hate to tell you this but if your car has a 6cyl engine then you have the same transmission as the XC90's. Chances are your transmission is toast.

I have no doubt that it will be on again, lol just a question of when loll.....

haha, the service guy said that chances are it will come on again, atleast I have the warranty, they already said if the fault comes on again, that they will cover the transmission.

The same error came up again, with the same code today. How ever there is something more new today, The whole front of the car there is something shaking very funnily from the front end of the car, it kind of has a shaking echoing feeling. Its barely noticeable, but is there..
