Nothing to do with the code in question but I didnt want to start up another thread just for it...
I just got back to the US and got int he car for the first time in 3 months... the car has been driven sparingly and started routinely while i was gone.. (total driving about 20 miles if so much while I was gone)
Anyway, when i start up the car now it tells me Time for regular service or something to that effect, I can double check the code tomorrow but it clears itself within a few minutes.... what exactly do they mean by this one... is it just a mileage or time set code or is it to do with a particular part or system?
As far as I can tell the only thing on the car due changing is the fuel filter...

If you dont mind me asking tech how can I clear this code? I dont really see why i'm getting it as I changed the oil about 700 miles ago (mobil 1 as usual)..
Its just strange that the code just showed up like that.. it doesnt really bother me but I would rather not have it around...
thanks

Alot of places forget to reset the light when they do an oil change.
Turn the key to position 1
Press and hold trip reset button while holding the button turn the key to position 2 and watch for the service light to flash after the 3rd flash release the button. That should reset it. Cycle the key and start the car and see if it is out. Sometimes it takes a couple of times to get it off.

I am trying to find a proper translation to the code. It keeps running back to fuel pump circuit with no other info.

this is funny, the code only came on when the codes for the P0432 and P0422 came on , which where the catalyst below efficiency banks one and two. they where coming on due to me running staight pipes in place of the convertors. i installed some foolers on the oxygen sensors that where post catalyst and the cat codes or this P1237 have not come back on.... ; )...

I hope that fixes it.
I still wasn't able to find info. It must translate to an emissions code.

okay, actually the P1237 code was coming back on, but it wasnt setting the ses light off. and i did much research, and fuel pump circuit is what most manufacturers go by on this code but in this case the volvo code is a turbo control valve malfunction code. and i had only been getting 12 psi of boost and the turbo had erratic operation. so i took the pressure feed to the boost control solenoid and blocked it off, just to take the control valve out of the equation. !!EUREKA!! the car pulled like crazy from the beginning, and once warmed to proper operating temps it pulled a solid 17 to 18 psi. so i do believe that the bcv that the dealership installed lasted a couple of months and then just gave out. so i may get one from ipd or another company to have an improved bcv valve. any more tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

okay, still waiting to get this car healthy before i take it to be dyno tested. blah, i installed the old boost controller and it worked somewhat better than the new one, it allowed 15 to 16 psi of boost but it fluttered a lot. so i bought a new one from ipd, including new clamps and new lines to be installed on everything connected to the control valve and wastegates. this code coming on is driving me bonkers... and until i get my original 17 to 18 psi of boost, i wont be satisfied....new parts should be in just a few days.. so we will see...
