[:@]I have a volvo S80. Mfr date is 5/99 bought it new in 12/99, told by salesman it was a 2000 model. I think it is a 1999. Vin # YV1TS94D7Y1067820. I had trouble with the ABS module and it was the 1999 unit which was changed in2000. Thanks for any help, I need to get new drive and timing belts for this car.

its a 2000....if a vehicle is manufactured in September+, its the following year.....production years start in September.

 

Entered the VIN into VADIS and it comes up as 2000.

 

I am confused. This car was made in May of 1999. It has a fuse panel in the engine compartment that is from the 1999 model year, in 2000 they changed it. I purchased this carnew in December of 1999 with the salesman telling me it was the new 2000 model. Just trying to get the right parts to fix it. I have heard that in August Volvo shuts down and retoolsfor the new model that comes out in September.
