MTP-H6 would run me $105.95. Should I stick with the interstate or save a few bucks by going to Advanced Auto?

Does that battery cross over to a 48 series battery?

I hope so you will want a bigger one. Also see what the warranty is on both. I think Interstate is 3 years free replacement then after 3 years it gets prorated till 5 years or something like that.

Found a 48 series at O'Rilley Auto Parts WITH 700 CCA for $80.63 and no tax. Gonna go pick it up tonight. Not positive on the warranty but to be honest I don't think the S80 is going to last another 3 years with it have in 240k on it already? Then again it could?

As long as you take care of the motor you can get another 200K out of it.

Glad you found one!!

I use full syn Penzoil every 3k. I hope it lasts that long. I still need to change the timing belt before it's too late! I would love to get another 200k out of it. I love the car as well does my fiance' (whom is the main driver). Thanks, I will let you know what happens.

Well, when I got home the trickle charger showed that the battery was charged. After about 15-20 tries she fired up! I opend the door to let it idle for awhile and the whole garage was filled with fumes...lol. I drove her around for about 20 miles then came home and let her sit and run for another 15-20 mins. Now she's starting up just fine and running just like before I turned the radio way up, heater full blast, interior lights on, etc, etc to see if the headlights or anything would dim and nothing I will probably get a new battery in a month or so (as long as this one holds up) just for peace of mind since the OEM battery is nearly 10 years old now. I'm a happy camper! Didn't have to spend any money today Thanks again Tech for helping see me through this!

Fiance' just called and said the car is shaking and saying "emissions system service required". I'm at work and there is nothing I can do until I get off work? Any ideas?

I'm going to hook the scanner up when I get home and see what it pulls. She says it is driving normal except when in park or sitting at a light it shakes and idles real rough.

I would bet a coil is acting up. Unless one of the plugs went bad. I know they aren't that old either.

I wouldn't bet against you...lol. I will try to get the plugs pulled out tonight and see if they are saturated or anything too. Unfortunately the weather just turned horrible within the last hour and there is ice everywhere and cold as can be out there. I'll pull the Mustang out of the garage and pull the S80 in and see what I can find. Keep ya posted and thanks again.

Do you think I could have flooded it? In order for it to start up on about the 15-20 try I just put the pedal to the metal to get it to start up and it smoked like hell for a few. I have always heard not to "give it gas" on fuel injected cars but it wasn't going to start unless I did.

Just pulled the codes with a scanner (Acetron CP9135) that one of the guys at work let me borrow. Great news! Only 12 codes. Some are repetative I think but here's the list and the explinations from the scanner:

- P0432 : Main Catalyst below threshold (Bank 2)

- P0422 : Main Catalyst below threshold (Bank 1)

- P0455 : Evaporative Emission Control System Leak (Large)

- P0161 : 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

- P0156 : 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2) *** looks to be the same one as P0161 above

- P0036 : 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

- P0136 : 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2) *** looks to be the same one as P0036 above

- P0448 : Evaporative Emissions Control System Short Circuit

- P1113 : Manufacturer Controlled Fuel / Air Metering

- P0300 : Random / Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected *** The coil or plugs like you mentioned?

- P1181 : Manufacturer Controlled Fuel / Air Metering *** Same as P1113 above

- P0174 : System too lean (Bank 2)

Probably not good idea to drive until I get at least some of this fixed. I can pretty much assume the 02 sensors are bad, coil is bad (or plugs). Do you think the short circuit in the Evap. Em. System could be throwing any of these? Where should I look for the P0455 Large Evap. Em Sys. Leak?

I cannot say thank you enough for all the help.
