2017 S90 T6 Inscription- love it or lose it?
Torn. 93000 miles. Do I stick with it, knowing maintenance will skyrocket and value will fall off a cliff after 100k?
pros:1. Bowers & Wilkins
2. Sips gas
3. Bowers & Wilkins
4. Understated luxury
5. Last of the pre-Geelys
6. Bowers and Wilkins
7. Still turns heads (of a certain age)
Cons:
1. Probably impossible to warranty after 100k (right? Purchased a 3yr/36k at 80,000mi)
2. Major repairs so far that would have cost a fortune if not under warranty (a/c, mount arms, ‘soft’ wheels)
3. I know jack **** about cars, see #2
4. 1.5 hr drive for dealer service. Dallas area. There are closer dealers but service hasn’t been great so I drive from my southern suburb to a northern suburb
5. No air suspension. 21” wheels, I can drive over a dime and feel it.
6. I own the car, but would trade it in for a TBD lease. Maybe a Polestar 3, see 3 above and 6 under Pros
Does anyone own a similar model past 100k miles? Is engine failure a given at 120k? Like I said I love the B&W but it shouldn’t be my favorite thing about the car.
Volvo parts OP as **** ime. £445 for a radiator.. made by Denzo.. the OE Denzo is £96.75 from Euros.. gtfo Volvo Genuine Parts mark up. Air con compressor.. £1350. No OE alternative on these electric compressors. Complaint over these in years to come are going to go nuts as they start to fail more often Tutuapp 9apps
