Strange 2017 S90 internet connectivity problem
Got the car a couple weeks ago, love it.
It was connecting to the internet through my wireless hot spot, and my phone, but stopped; the message on the screen was "no networks found". It also would not connect through the car modem.
I took it in yesterday, and the dealer updated everything, and it worked for about half a day, and when I got in the car last evening there was no connectivity. But it was different: the hotspot was on the car's center screen as available, and my phone was on the screen as available. And my phone and my hotspot showed that the car was connected as a device, as I selected each network. But the globe in the center display had a slash through it, and Pandora timed out on the connection.
So I drove back to the dealer this morning, and pulled into the service lane in the garage... and when I started the car, it connected to my wireless hot spot. So I left, and later today, it showed the same symptoms as before. So I drove back to the dealer, and left the car outside, and showed all the symptoms to the service writer, who documented them. Then, I drove into the service department drive lane, and the car connected again. (As a side note: several more networks are available there, including Volvo Tech, but the car connected to my AT&T hotspot.)
This means to me that the technician will never be able to diagnose the problem: he will always be bringing it into the service bay, and the car will always connect!
Has anyone with an S90 or XC90 had this issue? And, if no one has had this issue, then does anyone have any ideas? The service writer is going to take it up with Volvo's service support, but my appointment isn't for a couple weeks, and this is going to eat at me until I figure it out!

I have somewhat different problem - half of the time little SIM card and strength symbols are now shown on the screen, yet if I go into "Internet Modem" setup screen - they show up and everything seems connected, but streaming software (tune in, pandora) do not work, they time out while trying to connect. Weather and local search works fine.
I have not taken my car to the dealer yet for this problem, but I think at some point I will.
