Trailer Hitch Options
HI, I have a 2018 V90 T5 CC and I would like a trailer Hitch.
What have you found that looks good, is up to par, does not stick out like a sore thumb?

I think you can check for two options
1) visit a dealer store (like Tasca Parts - they are in RI so you could get snappy delivery :-) ) - for some newer models, Volvo offers a retractable hitch
https://accessories.volvocars.com/en...CC-516059/2018
2) visit trailer hitch e-stores like etrailer.com or stealthhitches.com. I used etrailer.com when buying a hitch for our Highlander and the install took me half the time they estimated. For mine, I just used a standard hitch with the removable ball/receiver and I hide the cable connector in the spare tire well and run it out the trunk seal when needed

I really like the Stealth hitch combo kit and was leaning in that direction. I called a local volvo dealer service department to see if they could do the programing for the trailer lights and they said some aftermarket control modulars don't always work on the 2018 V90 Cross Country's.
I'm think they are trying to discourage me from doing the install, so I'll bring it to them.
Has anyone had trouble with the Stealth Hitch wiring harness on these 2018 V90 CC's?

Just an update. I installed the Stealth Hitch and Volvo wiring harness and after 2 attempts of getting the Volvo dealer to install the correct Volvo software for the installed Volvo wiring harness I can say, all seems fine. I really like the design on the Stealth Hitch set up. Very good quality. I would buy it again, but I'd go to a different dealer for the software install.
I went with the ball hitch assembly for towing and a 2" receiver for a bike rack or a travel rack.

I just installed a Curt Hitch 13305 on my 2022 V90 B6 CC. Fits with no drilling. Less than $300 from Auto Zone, and around $325 from Curt and Amazon. Take a look at the instructions for the Stealth Hitch (but do NOT "discard the factory reinforcement beam. The beam will fit over the Curt Hitch with a minor cut) since it shows a M10 1.5 x 40 bolt, washer, and lock washer that goes into a pre-existing nut welded into the car. You will need to cut away a little area of the OEM beam support for those two bolts (one on each side). With the added bolts, that provides eight connections, four on each side.
I have not done the electrical (lights, connection to the Volvo CAN, etc.) as of yet, since a) I am only going to use the hitch for a more aerodynamic bike rack (two bikes on the roof rack is dropping my mpg by 2 to 4 mpg) in the immediate future and b) I wanted to see if I could install a reasonably priced hitch (I have a Stealth on our BMW for the hide feature, but was not willing to pay $700 for the Volvo) before investing in the electrical connections. The Genuine Volvo electrical system is less than $200. The Dealer said the software is ~$50, and the labor (with me pre-installing the wiring and fuse) would be less than an hour. Since the electrical is separate from the physical hitch, I am not even entertaining Stealth, Curt, or any other 3rd party electrical systems for the electrical.
