Default V90 - where do you put your arm?

Just purchased a used Volvo V90 after driving Mercedes for many years, I love the car albeit a little more hungry on the fuel consumption. I have always had a habit of driving with my elbow on the interior of the door trim. With this V90 I seem to sit lower which I like as it makes me feel more secure, however my arm becomes uncomfortable after a while of driving.

First World problems, I know, but I wonder if anyone else has the same issue? BTW For what its worth I am not particularly tall standing at 5 foot 9.

I agree with your assessment that the window ledge is too high for "elbow out" driving. One of the only complaints I have with my V90. I came from a Camaro convertible (mid-life crisis car) and that was even worse so I haven't complained all that much. I have tried to raise the seat all the way up but still a bit too high for comfortable driving.

Agreed but it's not the ledge is too high it's the seats are too low, the dynamics of having a snazzy looker of a car vs a top hat looking borebox.

lol, this is also one of my pet peeves about interior design. I wind up using the seat adjustments (F/R and U/D) as much to find a good resting place for my arms as I do for fitting my legs to the pedals. I'm 6' and find that's easy to do with Swedish/German cars but not so much with my wife's Toyota...

I agree with all of you, I feel the same about where to put my left arm? I've had three different BMW's and this S90 has the most comfortable interior of them all, even with this little problem.

I think somebody should open a "Big and tall men's car interiors" store :-)

Pop off the factory door card, drop in the tall man's version and there you go...

I’ve got my seat as high as it will go and still feel as though I’m sitting on the floor.
I’m used to a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I’ve only had the Volvo for a couple of days. I’ll get used to it.

😂
